We are looking forward to seeing the youngsters taking part in the 2008 Aberdeen Angus Youth Development Programme.

Youngsters of all ages taking part in the Aberdeen Angus Youth Development Scheme came to Lockerley for a day of training.  A great time was had by all.

Another Netherton Eastern Cruz son sold to a Pedigree Herd. Lockerley Kruz Prince E558 sold to Glympton Farms.

Lockerley Kim F599, the Female Champion at the South of England Calf Show in Nov 2006 and Lockerley Kind Princess F638 Reserve Female Champion at the South of England Calf Show in Nov 2006 have both been purchased by P.C. Stovold & Son's "Rosemead" Herd.

Our congratulations to Michael Kirby and his family from Milton Mill Farm, Holsworthy for their success with Lockerley Kind Princess E549 (Top Totty) who rounded off the year by winning the Champion Angus, Champion Native and Champion Pure Bred as well as being part of the Champion Group of 3 at Smithfield. This ended a busy year including taking the Supreme Champion at Liskeard Show, Champion at Holsworthy Calf Show, Female Champion at the Royal Cornwall Show, Native Champion at Woolsery Show, Reserve Champion at Beef South West, Reserve Champion Commercial at Newbury Show, Reserve Champion at Holsworthy Show, Reserve Champion at Okehampton Show, Champion Native, Reserve Champion Pure Bred and Reserve Supreme Champion at the Primestock Show. We wish them every success with their new heifer Lockerley Kind Princess F651 who has already won the Champion Calf at Holsworthy Fat Stock Show.

South East England Calf Show at Bristol - Reserve Overall and Reserve Male Champion, Female Champion, Reserve Female Champion, and the Gaston Wood Trophy for the Best Calf from a South East Club Member. The Reserve Overall and Reserve Male Champion went to Lockerley Lancelot F630.

A March born calf, sired by Idvies Euris B112. The Female Champion went to Lockerley Kim F599. This February born heifer, was also sired by Idvies Euris B112. The Reserve Female Champion was the March born Lockerley Kind Princess F638. This time, sired by Idvies Jester Eric.

Bristol Show and Sale

The Female and Overall Reserve Champion Lockerley Abbey C312 sold with her Netherton Krackerjack B164 sired heifer calf for the top price of 3400g. We would like to wish her new owners AJ & JA McElroy from Co Fermangh Northern Ireland every success with her.

Lockerley Babe E491 sold for 2000g and our best wishes go to her new owner A G Carter from Wiltshire.

Congratulations to Mark Pilcher whose Gear Kruz, a full brother to Lockerley Kruz Z310, took Male and Overall Championship before selling to O Edwards of Exmoor for 2800g.

Following their purchase of Lockerley Bonnie D362 earlier in the year we were visited at the Royal Show by Vicky and Rob Grinnall from the Beech Hay herd in Worcestershire.

They purchased Lockerley Katrina D368 at the Royal show then visited us again to purchase a further three heifers for their herd:- Lockerley Kind Princess D358, Lockerley Kandy Princess D389 and Lockerley Eyebright E526.

We would like to wish them every success with the heifers and also congratulate them on the birth of their son, Daniel, in the summer.
